Bible Reading Plan - Its Importance
A Bible reading plan is critical to your development as a Christian. It may not always seem like it in this time-pressured world we live in, but spending time with God and reading His Word is the most important part of your day. If you want to know God's will for your life, the Bible is one of the primary ways God speaks to us. That's why the Bible is often called "God's Word" or "The Word of God."

New believers, as well as those who have been Christians for many years, cannot spend too much time reading the Bible. But for targeted growth, it's important to find a plan that works well for you. Once you've identified that plan, you need to be faithful to follow it.
Example: (Chart has one page and we recommend you put a copy in your Bible.)
Day 1 - Gen. 1-4
Day 2 - Gen. 5-8
Day 3 - Gen. 9-12

Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart."

Tips on Reading the Bible Daily
1. Start reading the Bible today -- there is no better time, and there's no reason to wait. Set aside a specific time each day. Set your schedule and then stick to it. Mornings are great, but feel free to use any time that works consistently for you.
2. Read the Bible for the sake of learning, not simply to accomplish your next reading. Say a short prayer to God before you begin, asking the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom and understanding, then be refreshed by the words you read!
3. Highlight verses, take notes and bookmark your Bible!
